Martin Lewis and his Money Saving Expert team have issued an urgent alert for Tesco Clubcard holders, warning that vouchers worth nearly £17 million are set to expire on Friday 31 May. The team advises shoppers to act within the next two weeks to either spend or extend their vouchers.
According to MSE, more than £27 million in 'Reward Partner' codes—vouchers exchanged for use at third-party retailers—will also expire over the following four weeks. To extend vouchers, customers can make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page, with no minimum spend required. MSE recommends a 50p restaurant voucher, which is worth £1 at selected restaurants.
Tesco Chief Commercial Officer Ashwin Prasad encouraged holders to make the most of their Clubcard ahead of the May bank holidays. He highlighted opportunities to save on shopping or exchange vouchers for double value with over 100 Reward Partners, including days out and restaurant meals.
MSE reminded customers that extensions must be completed by 11.59pm on 31 May. The trick allows shoppers to swap points for vouchers manually or wait for automatic conversion with the next statement.
