Shoppers are flocking to Primark for a £4 bag charm that bears a striking resemblance to the viral Labubu collectibles. The budget-friendly alternative, a fuzzy light brown teddy with black eyes and chocolate brown paws, was spotted by TikTok influencer @kadymcwilliam2 in the Argyle Street branch in Glasgow.
Labubus, created by Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, have become a must-have accessory despite their devilish grins and sharp teeth. The characters come in blind boxes with over 300 styles, each with its own name and backstory, making them difficult to secure due to surging popularity.
The TikTok video showcasing the Primark dupe has amassed over 110,000 views and 10,000 likes, with followers expressing excitement. One commenter wrote: 'Forget a labubbu this is what I want.' The charm is not available for click and collect, so shoppers are encouraged to visit stores.
Primark also offers other bag charms online for £5 or less, including Disney's Stitch, Hello Kitty, and a Rita Ora Heart design.
