Marks & Spencer has launched its Valentine's Day range, but one item in particular is causing a stir online. The 'You Tickle My Pickle' chocolate bar, priced at £3.75, is a pickle-shaped treat made from rich and creamy solid milk chocolate, decorated with rosy pink cheeks and dark chocolate eyes.
The novelty bar was shared on Facebook by user Roisin on the page Finding Roisin, prompting a wave of amused reactions. One person joked: 'Nearly as bad as the love sausage!' while another wrote: 'This has had me howling all day! I'm going to get one for myself!'
Some shoppers were more demanding, with one commenting: 'I'll be disappointed if you don't get this for Valentine's Day!' Another said: 'This can't be real, but I'd have to 100% get this.' A fifth added: 'This would be absolutely hilarious to receive anonymously!'
The tongue-in-cheek item has led to speculation that Aldi might respond, as the two supermarkets have a history of playful online exchanges. One Facebook user commented: 'Can't wait for Aldi to come back with something that rhymes with gherkin!' while another said: '@Aldi UK cannot wait for your Valentine's clap back!'
It is not the first time M&S has offered an unusual Valentine's treat. In 2025, the store sold a butterscotch-filled 'banana' and a Love Struck Cupid-style arrow that shoppers likened to something from Ann Summers. The full Valentine's range also includes Red Velvet Pancakes, Jelly Bean Hearts, Pistachio Truffles, and the returning Spencer Bear, made with Belgian milk chocolate and finished with a dark chocolate and red cocoa confectionery heart.
