McDonald's Brings Back Cornetto McFlurry After 17 Years and New Sauces
McDonald's Brings Back Cornetto McFlurry After 17 Years

McDonald's has introduced a brand new summer menu featuring three new dips, two new burgers, and the return of a fan-favorite dessert after 17 years. The new sauces include Hot Honey, Korean BBQ, and Ranch, alongside a spicy mayo. The chain is also releasing a Hot Honey Sausage and Egg McMuffin and a Hot Honey McCrispy, as well as bringing back the Cornetto McFlurry.

New Dips: Hot Honey, Korean BBQ, and Ranch

The new dips are designed to elevate chicken nuggets and other menu items. The creamy Ranch offers a cool, buttermilk-based option with herb and garlic notes, catering to those who prefer milder flavors. The Korean BBQ is described as having a teriyaki-like taste, blending sweet soy, ginger, and garlic for umami, though it differs from traditional BBQ. The Hot Honey is very sweet and sticky, providing a sweet and spicy twist with a noticeable kick in the aftertaste.

Return of the Cornetto McFlurry After 17 Years

Back by popular demand, the Cornetto McFlurry returns after a 17-year absence. It features classic soft serve ice cream mixed with either rich chocolate sauce and chunks or strawberry sauce, both topped with tiny pieces of Cornetto cone. This nostalgic treat is expected to be a hit among customers.

New Burgers and Secret Menu Hack

Alongside the dips, McDonald's has added the Big Arch with bacon for hearty appetites. A secret menu hack, created by a crew member, involves the Hot Honey McFlurry—an in-app exclusive that combines the Hot Honey sauce with vanilla soft serve. According to a reviewer, the creamy ice cream works surprisingly well with the spicy kick, though it is not a personal favorite.

Availability and Personal Review

All new menu items will be available in-store and online from Tuesday, July 14. A McDonald's fan who tried the new sauces ahead of launch noted that the Ranch was their favorite, and they plan to double dip their nuggets into it. The Korean BBQ was interesting but not what traditional BBQ lovers might expect, while the Hot Honey is best used as a dip rather than in burgers or breakfast items due to its messiness.
