Lidl's £49.99 bean-to-cup coffee machine launches 16 August

Lidl's Silvercrest bean-to-cup coffee machine, priced at £49.99, will be available in stores from 16 August, offering a budget-friendly option for barista-style coffee at home.

Compact design and features

The pastel-coloured machine, available in pink, green, or black, features a two-cup capacity and uses ground beans rather than pods. It includes a milk frother nozzle, a 15-bar pressure system, and a 1-litre water tank.

The appliance is part of Lidl's new Silvercrest pastel range, which also includes a stand mixer, kettle, toaster, microwave, and an air fryer in matching colours.

Alternative from De'Longhi

For those seeking an online alternative, the De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Truestart Edition offers a similar concept but with a higher price tag of nearly £400. It features a 250g coffee bean capacity, 15 grind settings, and a 1.7-litre water tank.

Our reviewer noted: "The bean-to-cup espresso machine is a numbers game with eight grinder settings, three temperature profiles and 15-bar pump pressure, meaning it promises enough pressure to create the perfect espresso."
