Post-Black Friday Kindle Deals Still Available for Christmas Shoppers

Black Friday and Cyber Monday may have passed, but Amazon continues to offer significant discounts on its Kindle range, providing a last-minute opportunity for Christmas gift buyers. The latest Kindle Paperwhite, launched in 2024 and rated as the best ereader by The Independent, remains available at a reduced price.

The Kindle Paperwhite currently has 22% off, matching its lowest-ever price of £125. Tech critic David Phelan praised it for offering “the best balance of advanced features and price of any Kindle,” highlighting its newer e-ink technology for faster page turns and smoother transitions. Tech writer Steve Hogarty also named it the top choice for most readers, citing its softer, warm reading light, larger display, and faster processor.

For those seeking a bundle, Amazon offers the Paperwhite with an official fabric cover and power adapter for under £195, saving over £20 compared to buying separately. The Kindle Scribe, a digital notepad and ereader, has also dropped to its lowest price ever. Steve Hogarty noted it as a sensible option for those wanting an ereader first and sketchbook second.

The standard Kindle, described as light and compact with a glare-free screen and six-week battery, remains the cheapest in the range. It features adjustable front light and dark mode, with an ad-supported version available at a lower price. Hogarty awarded it the best budget buy, calling it “a great choice for most readers.”

The Paperwhite Signature Edition, almost identical to the standard Paperwhite, adds wireless charging, double storage, and auto-adjusting light. Hogarty suggested the extra storage benefits audiobook fans, while adaptive lighting reduces manual brightness adjustments. Based on last year’s pricing trends, where the Paperwhite was nearly 22% cheaper on Black Friday than on 20 December, shoppers are advised to buy now rather than wait.
