Home Bargains is selling a 500ml bottle of Mystical Angel Fragranced Shower Gel for £1.69. The pink product contains a "sweet bubblegum and candy floss scent" that could easily be likened to that of a popular seasonal product sold by the cosmetics company Lush.
Budget-friendly alternative to Lush
Describing it online, Home Bargains said: "Sweetie is a playful fragrance brand creating sweet, feel-good scents designed to brighten up your everyday routine. Fun, wearable and effortlessly uplifting, our fragranced bath and body products are made to bring a little extra joy to every moment."
"Fragranced shower gel with a sweet bubblegum and candy floss scent, gently cleansing and leaving skin feeling fresh. Perfect for everyday use in a 500ml bottle."
Some may compare this to the popular Snow Fairy range, brought out every winter by Lush. The huge cosmetic brand sells similarly sized bottles of shower gel (580g) for £24.
Snow Fairy comparison
Describing the returning fragrance online, Lush acknowledges that the scent has "spawned a thousand dupes and candycoated counterfeits". The brand adds: "The scent of the century is back, and this year our iconic Snow Fairy shower gel has all of the magic, none of the palm."
"So for sparkle like there’s snow tomorrow, lather up in the palm-free, candy-sweet suds that come but once a year — unless, like us, you stock up on the 1kg bottles to survive the Snow Fairy drought."
People who opt for the Home Bargains version could save themselves more than £22.30 per bottle this season. The discounted offer is available online and in stores across the UK.
Other new beauty deals
The discount chain has a variety of new beauty offers available for customers. One of those includes cut-price items from the Elizabeth Arden range.
The Elizabeth Arden Millennium Day Renewal Emulsion is usually £47 according to its recommended retail price, but has been reduced in a Home Bargains deal that will not appear on any store shelves. In the online-only deal, customers can pick up a 75ml bottle of the cream for just £12.99 - saving £34.
Describing it online, Home Bargains claims the cream is "ideal for everyday use" and suggests it leaves skin "feeling nourished, revitalised and looking radiant with a smooth, supple finish". The deal is only available on the Home Bargains website, meaning customers have no option to get this in-store.
