Aldi Christmas range: £8 showstopper and top festive picks revealed

Aldi has unveiled its Christmas range, and a standout product is the Specially Selected Ultimate Belgian Chocolate Gold Coin (£7.99, 470g), returning for a second consecutive year. The range also features a new vegetarian main, a cheese tower, and a salted smoked salmon.

Cheese and vegetarian highlights

Cheese lovers can look forward to the Specially Selected Luxury Truckle Tower (£13.99, 1kg), which includes a new creamy Wensleydale with Cranberry, Blueberry & Sloe Gin, new Truffle & Honey Cheddar, Extra Mature Coastal Cheddar, and Aged Red Leicester. The Truffle & Honey Cheddar was noted for its earthy flavour without being overly rich. Super-sized truckles are also available at £2.69, shaped into traditional Christmas symbols.

For vegetarians, the new Specially Selected Cauliflower Cheese Wellington (£4.99, 400g) pairs a roast dinner staple with flaky pastry, offering an indulgent alternative to beetroot or nut wellingtons.

Desserts and seafood

Aldi is also launching Specially Selected Mini Gold Coin Bites (£3.99, 162g), featuring the same gold Belgian milk chocolate shell with layers of caramel sauce and chocolate ganache, finished with honeycomb pieces. Other returning confectionery includes the Specially Selected Chocolate and Caramel Christmas Trees (price TBC) and the Moser Roth Chocolate Place Setting Kit (£3.99, 120g), which includes an edible transfer for personalisation.

The seafood range includes the Specially Selected The Ultimate Himalayan Salt Aged Smoked Salmon (£3.99, 100g), described as flaky, juicy, and tender. Another product, the Specially Selected Seafood Sharing Ramekin (£5.49, 260g), contains king prawns, Argentinian red shrimp, and Patagonian scallops in a cheddar, sauvignon blanc, and brandy sauce.

Affordable premium options

Aldi continues to offer premium products at affordable prices, which Which? named the cheapest supermarket for September, its seventh consecutive victory this year. The range aims to provide quality without stretching finances during the cost of living crisis.
