Green Chef's roster of eight meal plans includes the Nutrient Rich range, focusing on high-protein, fibre-rich ingredients for balanced, filling meals. Recipes include Char Siu Chicken Traybake, Coconut, Chilli and Herb Crusted Sea Bream, and Lamb Steaks and Mint Chimichurri.
Lighter meals with bigger flavours are key. Char Siu Chicken Traybake is a Singaporean-inspired dish with tender roasted chicken, crispy broccoli, and curried sesame potatoes, topped with sweet char siu sauce and sriracha. The Coconut, Chilli and Herb Crusted Sea Bream offers a fillet coated in a coconut, herb and chilli paste, oven roasted, served with lemon-zested bulgur, roasted pea pods, and mint-infused kefir, delivering over 30g of protein and 11g of dietary fibre. Lamb Steaks and Mint Chimichurri features homemade chimichurri drizzled over roasted lamb steaks with minted peas and broccoli.
Fundamentals of a Balanced Diet
Eating a healthy, balanced diet is crucial during weight loss. Key fundamentals include: at least five portions of fruit and vegetables daily; high-fibre ingredients like wholegrain rice, pasta, and potatoes; high-protein foods such as beans, pulses, fish, eggs, and meat; eating different coloured fruits and vegetables across the week; staying hydrated with water; and enjoying treats in moderation.
Keeping the Joy in Food
The Nutrient Rich plan also includes Honey Pork Stir-Fry with sticky pork, spicy noodles, and crunchy pak choi. Vegetarian options include One Pan Smoky Chickpea Chana Saag with creamy korma sauce and mango chutney over brown rice, and Vegetable Gyozas with Indonesian-Inspired Fried Cauli Rice.
