Bodycare to Reopen 17 UK Stores in High Street Comeback After Collapse
Bodycare Reopens 17 UK Stores in High Street Comeback

Bodycare, a major British beauty retailer, is making a high street comeback with 17 new stores planned after collapsing into administration last year. The retailer closed all 147 of its stores in September after failing to secure a buyer, but was rescued in October by a group of investors who pledged to bring the brand back to Britain's shopping centres.

First Stores to Open Under New Concept

The first of the new stores is expected to open later this month at The Moor in Sheffield, marking the beginning of the chain's return to bricks-and-mortar retail. The new outlets will operate under a "Bodycare Studio" concept, featuring interactive demonstration areas, digital feature screens and live broadcast studios designed to showcase the retailer's latest beauty and personal care products.

Bodycare said it hopes to open 15 stores within the space of a year, with further locations expected to be announced in the coming months. Most of the new stores are located across the North of England and the Midlands, although the rollout also includes sites in Scotland and Wales.

Bodycare's collapse last year brought an end to decades on the UK high street, with all 147 stores shutting after the business was unable to find a buyer during the administration process. While only 17 locations have so far been confirmed, Bodycare has suggested additional stores are planned as the business continues its expansion under its new owners.
