Arsenal XI vs Everton: Saka out, Gyokeres starts

Arsenal are without Bukayo Saka for their Premier League meeting with Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The winger sustained a quad injury during the midweek trip to Bayern Munich, limping off inside the opening ten minutes.

Limited Options in Attack

With Saka sidelined and Christos Tzolis not yet available after a hamstring injury, Mikel Arteta has limited options in wide areas. Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze both start, as expected, while Max Dowman will hope for minutes off the bench.

It is a fairly quick turnaround for Arsenal after their midweek match in Munich. Even with a Carabao Cup clash with Fleetwood to come next week, Arteta has significantly rotated his side.

Defensive Changes and Return

Piero Hincapie is available again after recovering from an ankle problem and took part in full first-team training on Friday. He is expected to make the squad against Everton, but Arteta is likely to manage his minutes and could see the Fleetwood match as a better opportunity for Hincapie.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is set to start at left-back as Ben White replaces Jurrien Timber at right-back after the Dutchman played the full 90 minutes at the Allianz Arena.

Confirmed Starting Lineup

Up front, Kai Havertz has looked well off his best since the international break and Viktor Gyokeres took his opportunity off the bench against Bayern. Gyokeres gets the nod, while Mikel Merino is preferred to Bruno Guimaraes in midfield.

Arsenal XI: Raya; White, Gabriel, Konsa, Lewis-Skelly; Rice, Merino, Odegaard; Madueke, Eze, Gyokeres.

Substitutes: Arrizabalaga, Timber, Hincapie, Calafiori, Mosquera, Zubimendi, Guimaraes, Dowman, Havertz.

Injured: Saliba, Tzolis, Saka.

The match kicks off at 3pm BST on Saturday October 24, 2026, at the Emirates Stadium. Odds list Arsenal at 2/5, Everton at 7/1 and the draw at 18/5, sourced from top betting sites.
