B&M shoppers can add a touch of luxury to their living rooms with a coffee table that costs a fraction of a similar model from B&Q. The Home Collection Zurich Glass & Marble Coffee Table has been discounted from £30 to £25 at the budget retailer, while B&Q sells its VASAGLE Round Coffee Table for £78.99.
Described by B&M as “the perfect accent piece for living rooms”, the table features a glass top, a marble base and a black frame. A matching side table, originally £15, is also reduced to £10. B&Q’s version, sold by The Bazaarist Limited, offers a marble surface on top with a tempered glass lower tier and golden steel legs.
The main difference, aside from price, is the placement of materials: B&M’s table has glass on top and marble underneath, while B&Q’s table places the marble on top with the glass shelf below. Both are marketed as stylish additions to a contemporary home.
B&M is known for offering affordable homeware that resembles more expensive designs. Another example is the Mayfair 1 Door Coffee Table, recently reduced from £30 to £20. The retailer also sells decorative items such as a £8 living room set and a £10 scallop lampshade similar to a £40 high-end version.
