B&M has added a collection of Ceramic Scented Candles to its homeware range, with designs that closely resemble the luxury brand Diptyque but at a fraction of the price. The candles come in two scents, white tuberose and black amber, and are available in two sizes: a small 130g version for £3 and a larger 800g version for £12.
Designer look for less
The minimalist design, including embossed labelling, mirrors the high-end brand's iconic style. While Diptyque's smallest candle (70g) starts at around £37 and the 600g size costs £179, B&M's largest offering is £167 cheaper. Diptyque also sells a supersized 1.5kg candle for £299, but B&M does not offer an equivalent size.
B&M describes the candles as perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms, with scents dubbed "delicate" and "floral" by the retailer. The black ceramic holder with embossed detailing is intended to add a stylish touch to any interior, creating a "cosy atmosphere" for relaxing evenings or when hosting guests.
Scented range expands
B&M's product description reads: "Fill your home with the delicate floral scent of black amber. This scented candle comes in a stylish black ceramic holder with an embossed design, making it a lovely addition to any room." It adds: "Whether you're unwinding after a long day or creating a cosy atmosphere for guests, this candle brings a touch of elegance to your space."
The candles have already caught attention on TikTok, with user @ap.curates saying: "Sorry! But the Diptyque dupes in B&M are everything and more." Another shopper, @athollies, included them in a round-up of B&M homeware finds, writing: "Some amazing high end homeware dupes."
Beyond candles, B&M has also launched the same scents in reed diffuser formats, priced at £4 for 100ml and £12 for 1L. The diffusers feature similar packaging and are said to "add a touch of elegance to any room," with reeds that disperse the aroma gently.
Autumn collection arrives
The candles are part of B&M's new 'Harvest' collection for autumn, which includes fuzzy blankets, bedding, teddy pumpkins, and autumnal wreaths. Shoppers can find the Ceramic Scented Candles in B&M stores now.
