B&M £1.89 Flash cleaner beats Viakal for limescale

A £1.89 Flash bathroom cleaner bought from B&M has been found to outperform Viakal at removing limescale from bathroom taps. The product, which costs £1.89 for a 500ml bottle at B&M and £2.44 for an 800ml bottle at Asda, is said to remove up to 100% of bathroom grime and limescale.

Cheaper alternative to Viakal

Viakal's Classic Limescale Remover is priced at £2.89 for a 500ml bottle at B&M and £4.98 for a 1050ml bottle at Asda. The Flash product comes in a bottle nearly identical to Viakal's and is simple to use, with instructions recommending leaving the solution on the affected area for up to five minutes.

To use, spray the nozzle to cover the limescale area and leave it for the recommended time, then wipe away with a damp cloth.

Impressive results on taps

After gently wiping the product off bathroom taps, much of the limescale was lifted, and a follow-up scrub with a sponge ensured all residue was removed. The taps looked considerably better, with plenty of limescale shifted.

The product does all the hard work, making results easy to achieve. In contrast, past use of Viakal left limescale deposits still covering the taps. For this user, Flash's cleaner is the best product on the market for tackling limescale build-ups at home.
