5 Nobody's Child Dresses on Sale Perfect for Wimbledon and Summer
5 Nobody's Child Dresses on Sale for Wimbledon Summer

With warm summer weather and Wimbledon approaching, senior fashion writer Eve Rowlands has shared five sale picks from Nobody's Child that tick all the boxes.

Nobody's Child 50% Sale Launches for Members

As warm weather hits and summer arrives, the countdown to Wimbledon is on. The world-class tournament begins on June 29, with some of the greatest tennis players of this generation gracing the famous grass courts for two glorious weeks.

For those lucky enough to get tickets, a Wimbledon-appropriate outfit is required. While the sporting event has no enforced dress code, per se, what better opportunity to get ourselves a new outfit in which to feel fabulous than one of the summer's biggest competitions?

Thankfully, with the summer season in full swing, the high street is teeming with sales, which see some gorgeous summer dresses with up to 50% off. Including celebrity favourite Nobody's Child, whose up to half price sale has just landed - and the dresses reduced are stunning.

Now, there is a caveat. This 50% sale isn't currently live to the general public - from what it looks like - but for those who have signed up as part of its member club, Nobody’s Club, for free.

For those who either can't wait for general sale or don't want to sign up, Damson Madder's sale is ongoing with up to 40% off dresses like its ever-popular Sita Multiway Midi Dress, now £76 from £150. Meanwhile, H&M's up to 50% off sale is currently live, with items like its statement Draped jersey dress reduced to £21 from £37.99.

For those intrigued by what's on offer in Nobody's Child's rare sale event, as a shopping writer and, helpfully, dedicated member of the brand's Nobody's Club, I'm privy to what's currently on sale, so I thought I'd share some of my top picks - before they sell out.

White Embroidered Bandeau Ariella Drop Waist Midi Dress - was £130, now £65

For attendees who want to match the tennis players' strict 'almost entirely white' clothing rule, this beautiful Ariella dress does the job in style. With an embroidered skirt that skims over the hips and tummy and looks breathable thanks to its little broderie Anglaise detailing, its bodice is more fitted with a pleated design that's so flattering.

Its back is fastened with an oversized bow and shirring, which ensures the dress remains comfortable all day long. With a bandeau neckline, the dress is ideal for those humid, heatwave days.

Shoppers who have bought this gorgeous dress have said: "Beautiful and comfortable white midi dress. Looked very elegant in it." Meanwhile, someone else bought it for bridal celebrations and said: "LOVED this dress I wore it on my hen do - so flattering and pretty! Excited to re-wear on my honeymoon!"

It's still available in all sizes from four to 18. The only downside is that it doesn't come in a petite length.

White Floral Puff Sleeve Saffy Midi Dress - was £89, now £53

For those who want to add some romance to their look, this Saffy midi dress is adorned with delicate red florals and green leaves, nicely complemented by intricate lace trim. Cut to a flattering silhouette with a similar waist panel to the brand's viral Starlight dress, the Saffy midi features a feminine V-neckline and slightly puffed sleeves for added drama.

With a button front that travels up the neckline too - unique feature that adds texture - the skirt grazes over the tummy and falls to just above the ankles. The dress measures around 128cm in its regular length, but also comes in petite.

While some shoppers found the dress to be a little 'bit lower than I thought on the front', most were delighted with their purchase, with one person remarking: "Fits perfectly, many compliments when worn," as another said: "The absolutely most flattering cut and pattern of dress!"

Mint Green Sleeveless Starlight Midi Dress - was £89, now £43

Starlight fans, this is not a drill: its gorgeous sleeveless design in this mint green hue is now less than £50. And all sizes, four to 18, are still available. Crafted from pure cotton, the dress is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable - not to mention soft on the skin.

While the Starlight's plunge V-neck might look a bit too revealing, as someone who has worn this particular dress, I can confirm it is the right amount of modesty and doesn't require any pinning or tank top underneath to preserve dignity. With buttons down the front and a relaxed skirt with a front slit, its main event is the flattering, slimming and waist-cinching panel just under the bust. This panel shapes the bodice to create a feminine silhouette.

Its sleeveless design also makes it ideal for the warmer weather. The dress is easy to smarten up with some heels, hat and a bag or down with some sandals and a denim jacket.

It's important to note that the brand shares how it runs small. However, sizing up should do the trick. One slight drawback one shopper shared was that, due to the buttons being relatively small, 'if you need to undo any of the buttons to get on or off, they are quite fiddly'.

Light Blue Drop Waist Lefka Maxi Dress - was £160, now £64

This Lefka dress's sky blue colourway will certainly turn some heads on Henman Hill and around centre court. Fitted with two statement bows on its front, separated by a neat little cut out, the dress has chunky straps - ideal for those who can't get away without a bra.

It's finished with a subtle drop waist that is pleated and falls into a relaxed, full skirt. Made from a rich cotton-nylon blend, the dress should be thick enough to hold its shape and not show any underwear, while also being breathable in the sunshine. This does mean that it might not have much give in terms of sizing - especially around the bust.

Butter Yellow Victoria Midi Dress - was £140, now £70

This butter yellow Victoria dress is leaning into one of the summer's biggest colour trends. The midi dress features a flattering square neckline and shoulders with ruched detailing along the straps.

This ruching continues into the bodice on its sides, which helps pull in the waist and smooth out the tummy. Not to mention, it contrasts the soft butter hue with a touch of texture.

The Victoria dress then falls into a full, easy skirt, making it the perfect throw-on-and-go style for sunny days and special occasions alike. While it's been praised as being 'gorgeous', its sizing caused an issue for one shopper, who said it 'swamped' her - so maybe size down for a more svelte fit.
