Joey Essex Sells £3m Mansion with Pool and Animal Statues

Reality television personality Joey Essex has officially placed his lavish £3 million Essex mansion on the housing market, with the property boasting distinctive features including a Love Island-inspired swimming pool, an outdoor bar, and an array of exotic animal statues.

A Celebrity Home with Unique Flair

The 35-year-old former star of The Only Way Is Essex has resided in the impressive five-bedroom residence since 2014, having originally purchased it for £1.6 million. The home has frequently been showcased across his social media channels, revealing plush white interiors, a dedicated games room, and numerous palm trees adorning the garden.

Distinctive Décor and Outdoor Amenities

Potential buyers will encounter a property with a highly individual aesthetic. The garden is dominated by large statues of giraffes and elephants positioned around the swimming pool area, which also includes a fully-equipped outdoor bar for entertainment purposes.

The animal-themed art extends indoors, with tiger and leopard statues placed throughout the house to greet visitors. The current listing price is set at £2.7 million, with the advertisement highlighting the home's location on one of Chigwell's most desirable roads.

Substantial Garden and Past Features

The extensive rear garden measures approximately 150 feet in length by 55 feet in width. It is designed as an entertainment space, featuring not only the swimming pool and bar area but also a jacuzzi and an artificial lawn.

Joey Essex previously offered an exclusive look inside the property during a 2024 photoshoot with OK! magazine, where he posed with his then-girlfriend, Jessy Potts, following their appearance on Love Island. When questioned about potentially moving into the mansion together, Essex responded humorously at the time, indicating it was a conversation for the future.

Recent Personal and Financial Developments

The couple's relationship ended in September 2024, with Essex issuing a statement wishing Potts well for the future. In a separate development, it was revealed in October that the television personality was facing an investigation related to the collapse of his management firm, Joey Essex Management Ltd.

The company entered liquidation after failing to settle a £1.2 million debt. Official documents filed with Companies House indicated that accountants were examining the conduct of Essex as the company director, with a confidential report to be submitted to the Insolvency Service.

Despite these financial reports, just one month prior, Essex shared images on social media from a luxurious summer holiday in Ibiza, taken shortly after his boxing debut.
