Paramore's Hayley Williams has released a new single, 'Good Ol' Days', taken from her surprise solo album 'Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party'. The song, co-written with Daniel James and produced by Brian Robert Jones, features a chorus referencing Paramore's 2017 track 'Hard Times'.
Williams' grandfather, Rusty Williams, appears on the single via a voicemail recording. Earlier this year, Williams helped release her grandfather's previously unreleased 1970s album 'Grand Man', with Paramore drummer Zac Farro's label Congrats Records.
A deluxe edition of 'Grand Man' includes a 7-inch vinyl with two unreleased Rusty Williams recordings on the A-side and a new interpretation by Hayley Williams on the B-side. Rusty Williams previously appeared on his granddaughter's 2020 solo album 'Petals For Armor'.
In a recent interview, Williams and producer Jack Antonoff criticised large corporations for monopolising live music, with Antonoff questioning why drawing a few hundred people cannot be an honest living.
