Paddy McGuinness is selling the Cheshire home he shares with ex-wife Christine for £6.5 million, a price she is reportedly furious about. The 51-year-old TV presenter has put the seven-bedroom marital home on the market, and Christine, 36, believes he has inflated the price to prevent a sale, according to a source.
The couple announced their split in 2022 and settled their divorce in October, continuing to live together to co-parent their three children. However, the arrangement is no longer sustainable, with Christine keen to move out. Paddy became the owner of the property following the divorce and has now listed it, hoping to make a £4.4 million profit on the original purchase five years ago.
A source told MailOnline: 'It is so overpriced, Paddy doesn’t want to sell which seems like another tactic by him. The house is on for two thirds more than what they paid for it, it will never sell. It all feels a bit like Paddy wanting to control the situation and keep Christine living in the house with him for longer.' The source added that Christine 'made it clear that she can’t live with him anymore but now it looks like she will have to for a long time yet.'
The seven-bedroom, six en-suite bathroom home features a gym, an orangery, and a kitchen diner. The couple met in 2007 and married in 2011. Paddy previously described their living situation as a 'really, really lovely family unit at home' with no toxicity or arguments, but recent months have seen Christine grow increasingly unhappy, leading to the decision to sell.
Christine has spoken about being 'very happily single' and having a 'new lease of life' after the divorce. She expressed a desire to travel more. Paddy has said he does all the cooking and can manage as a bachelor. The property has yet to attract any buyers.
