Emily Atack is back on our screens for Rivals season two, and fans are curious about her life away from the cameras. Emily Atack's Strictly Come Dancing Host Rumours

Atack is best known for her roles in The Inbetweeners and Rivals, and has also appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Dancing on Ice, and The Keith Lemon Sketch Show. She had her own comedy series, The Emily Atack Show. Now, rumours swirl about her taking over as host of Strictly Come Dancing.

A source told Closer in January: “She’s really happy and confident... Strictly would be her dream job – it is her favourite TV show.” If Atack gets the role, she would replace veteran presenters Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, who have fronted the series since 2014. The BBC has yet to confirm the new host. Atack has never danced on the show, previously telling the Radio Times: “I don't think anybody needs to be subjected to watching my dance moves right now.”

Emily Atack's Trolling Heartbreak

Atack has opened up about online abuse she faced from trolls, receiving hundreds of abusive messages and going to the police. She fronted the BBC documentary Emily Atack: Asking For It?, exploring why women are subjected to online sexual harassment. She questioned why victims are blamed and took the debate to Parliament in 2022 to make cyber-flashing illegal.

In 2023, she spoke candidly on This Morning about her decade-long ordeal. One troll told her: “You come across as a type of girl that is up for that kind of behaviour... easy access, an easy target.” She concluded: “It shows you can’t be a sexually liberated woman... without people thinking that you’re asking for negative attention.”

Rivals season 2 premieres on Disney+ on May 15.
