Speaking about his plans for next season, Fernandes made it clear that his dream is to win the Premier League and Champions League with United. He reiterated that his decision to join the club in January 2020 was driven by the desire to compete for the biggest honours in football.

"Obviously going into next season, we all know that the aim of this club always has to be winning," Fernandes said. "In the first place when a player chooses to come to Man United it's not because you just want to wear the shirt. That's a big feeling and it's a big thing to walk out at Old Trafford and that was the dream I had but I had that dream because I knew the club could win things and be close to winning the Premier League and Champions League. That's why I came to this club."

The midfielder has already lifted the FA Cup and League Cup during his time in England, and was a runner-up in the Europa League last year. However, he is determined to add more silverware to his collection.

"I speak out whenever I want on what I want to achieve and what I want to achieve is winning the league and winning the Champions League," Fernandes explained.

Club Clear Path for Senesi Transfer

Meanwhile, Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi, who is set to become a free agent this summer. The 29-year-old Argentina international has made 35 Premier League appearances this season and will leave the Cherries at the end of his contract.

Senesi joined Bournemouth in 2022 and has played 126 games for the club. Despite speculation about his next destination, the centre-back has stated that his focus remains on helping Andoni Iraola's side secure European qualification.

In a club statement, Senesi said: "From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this club. I'm proud of everything we achieved over the last four years and I'm grateful for the support the fans have always given me. AFC Bournemouth will always hold a special place for me and I will look back at my time here with fond memories. For now, there are still two big games left of the season and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together."

United are reportedly among several Premier League clubs interested in signing Senesi on a free transfer, which would provide a cost-effective defensive reinforcement for the upcoming campaign.
