Lidl and Aldi have issued urgent food recalls for two popular snack products due to contamination risks. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) alerted consumers after discovering that some batches may contain glass or undeclared allergens.
Lidl is recalling its Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews (125g packs with a best before date of June 2026) due to the potential presence of glass fragments, which could pose a choking hazard. Customers are advised not to eat the product and return it to any Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
Aldi has recalled its Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um's (121g packs, all dates) because they may contain peanuts, posing a serious health risk to anyone with a peanut allergy. The supermarket urges customers with nut allergies not to consume the product and to return it to any Aldi store for a full refund.
