Grandmother's Handwritten Note and Cream Transformed Man's Skin, Leading to Skincare Brand

Nic, the founder of skincare brand 47 Skin, has revealed how a parcel from his grandmother in 2017 changed his life after a decade of struggling with blemishes. Having tried countless products and salon treatments without success, he received a pot of cream accompanied by a handwritten note urging him to try it. Despite his scepticism, the cream cleared his spots and blemishes in just four days.

The cream contained Silver Chitoderm®, a compound originally developed by Yorkshire scientists for a water purification project. It was deemed unsuitable for that purpose and shelved, but Nic's grandmother discovered it at a market stall. Impressed by the results, Nic tracked down the scientist behind the formulation and partnered with them to launch 47 Skin.

Now, the brand is offering a summer sale with 10% off its routine bundles. These bundles are designed to provide products for every step of a morning and evening skincare routine. The 3-Step Moisture bundle, priced at £83, includes a cleanser, serum and daily moisturiser. A 4-step routine adds the Silver Mask for £104, while a 5-step routine includes an SPF for £126.

Other brands such as Nip+Fab and Paula's Choice offer similar regime kits at comparable prices, but only 47 Skin features the Silver Chitoderm® ingredient. Nic emphasises the brand's mission to share the formula that worked for him and build a skin-positive community.
