Domino's has unveiled an ice cream inspired by its iconic garlic and herb dipping sauce. The unconventional combination is created by hand-stirring the savoury dip into ice cream locally sourced from Devon. Customers can even have their cone drizzled with the dip.
Mixed Reactions on Brighton Seafront
The pizza chain handed out the treat on Brighton seafront to gauge whether beachgoers would swap their usual scoop for this sweet-and-savoury creation. Sunseeker Chiandra Mistry was not a fan. She said: "Oh no, it's got garlic taste in it." She then added: "You know who would love this? My daughter. She likes garlic."
A spokesperson for Domino's said: "Our dip has become a bit of an icon in its own right, with customers finding all sorts of creative ways to enjoy it over the years. This summer, we thought we'd go one scoop further and take it somewhere completely unexpected."

Some devoted garlic and herb fans were sent the ice cream to try at home. @cissyjones commented on social media, saying she "thought this might be an April Fools prank, but it's not April" and was surprised as it "actually lasts like garlic... oh guys it is!" @emiiyjade, another creator who sampled the ice cream, admitted "I'm really not sure about this..."

This latest creation comes from the pizza giant, which has previously dreamt up a garlic and herb flavoured chocolate egg, infused with the flavours of its famous dipping sauce, developed by the team at the company's headquarters. There was also the 'Shirtiette' – shirts crafted entirely from serviette material so fans needn't worry about getting messy during matchdays throughout the summer. Not forgetting a Pepperoni Passion inspired perfume, which was released ahead of Valentine's Day last year.
Heatwave Offer
With a fresh wave of scorching heatwaves sweeping across the UK this summer, Domino's is offering people the chance to win their very own tub of the divisive creation in a bid to help the nation keep cool. This follows record-breaking temperatures in both May and June, with May reaching a sweltering 35.1°C, smashing the previous record of 32.8°C set back in 1922. On 26th June, temperatures soared to highs of 37.7°C, toppling the previous June record of 35.6°C set in 1957 and 1976, with the Met Office forecasting another potential heatwave could strike in late August.
