Jens Hjerto Dahl Prefers Rangers Move as Bid Expected, Raskin Eyes Inter
Jens Hjerto Dahl Prefers Rangers Move; Raskin Eyes Inter

Rangers are closing in on a midfield overhaul as Tromso's Jens Hjerto-Dahl has publicly stated his preference for a move to Ibrox over a switch to Turkey. The 20-year-old Norwegian midfielder, who saw a January move to Besiktas collapse, has now admitted that joining the Glasgow giants is "more appealing than going to Turkey."

Tromso Expect Second Bid After £5.3m Rejection

Despite signing a new contract with Tromso, reports in Norway claim that Rangers have already seen a £5.3million bid rejected. Tromso are now expecting the Scottish club to follow up with a second offer. Besiktas have also revived their interest with a fresh bid, but Hjerto-Dahl's comments suggest his heart is set on Rangers.

When asked by local newspaper iTromso about a potential move to Rangers, he replied: "It's more appealing than going to Turkey." The towering midfielder was previously linked with Serie A giants Lazio and was described as being "one step away" from Ibrox in January, though Rangers distanced themselves from the speculation at the time.

Nico Raskin 'Selects' Inter Milan as Next Destination

Meanwhile, Rangers face a battle to keep Nico Raskin, who has attracted interest from across Europe after impressive displays for Belgium at the World Cup. The 25-year-old midfielder is reportedly a target for Atalanta, Bologna, and Real Betis, while Hull City have had a £14million offer rejected, according to reports in England.

Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Inter Milan have "set their sights" on signing the Belgian international, and that Raskin has "selected" the club as his "most likely destination" if a bid materialises. The report states that Inter "can offer more interesting sporting prospects" than other suitors.

Rangers Also Target Serbian Midfielder, Maintain Ferguson Interest

To bolster their engine room, Rangers are close to securing a deal for Serbian midfielder Vanja Dragojevic, while they maintain an interest in Bologna's Lewis Ferguson. Manager Derek McInnes is keen to reinforce his midfield options amid the potential departure of Raskin and the ongoing pursuit of Hjerto-Dahl.
