Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram, with the Serie A side reportedly offering a contract worth £4.2 million to free agent Franck Kessie, potentially forcing a discount on Thuram's transfer fee.
Juventus Need to Sell Thuram
The 25-year-old Frenchman, son of World Cup winner Lilian Thuram, played 45 times for Juventus last season but is now expected to leave. The Italian club has set an asking price of £42.9 million, but that figure is considered too expensive by interested parties, including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Nottingham Forest.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus are 'working hard' to find a buyer for Thuram to generate funds for other targets, including Stanislav Lobotka. The club's financial year-end has prompted speculation that Thuram could be available for between £34.7 million and £39 million.
Kessie Deal Could Force Juventus' Hand
Juventus have turned their attention to free agent Franck Kessie, who has left Al-Ahli. The Ivory Coast international has been offered a contract worth £4.2 million, and he admitted last month that a move to Juventus is under discussion. 'Juventus?
