Sam Fender announces 2027 stadium tour in epic video

Sam Fender has confirmed a major UK and Ireland stadium tour for 2027, his largest to date, announced through a Lord of the Rings-inspired video shared on social media. The news follows hints of a return to his beloved St James' Park, where his branding appeared during Newcastle's home fixture with Aston Villa.

The video, captioned "The Beacons Are Lit!", shows bandmates Dean Thompson, Joe Atkinson and Johnny Blue Hat inside St James' Park before flames rise from the stadium. Other venues featured in the announcement include the Etihad in Manchester, the Principality in Cardiff, Murrayfield in Edinburgh, Malahide Castle in Ireland and Wembley in London. Sam is also seen at the bar of his favourite pub, the Low Lights Tavern.

Fan reaction and registration details

The clip drew widespread praise from followers. Band member Joe commented: "rise, arise, Riders of Théoden! Spear shall be shaken, shield shall be splintered, A sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now, ride! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!"

One user wrote: "Who is the genius that conceptualised and actualised this oscar-worthy video because i’m watching it on repeat and it’s got me all hyped up fr." Another added: "This is the single coolest announcement video ever created!," while a third said: "Hahahahaa ya dafties!!! This is phenomenal. See you in The Shire.."

Fans are directed to Sam's website, now rebranded with an SF27 logo, to register for tour updates.

Record-breaking chart success

The tour announcement comes shortly after Sam and Olivia Dean broke the record for the longest-running Number One song in history, held by Frankie Laine since 1953. In July, Rein Me In made history after topping the charts for 19 weeks, surpassing I Believe by Frankie Laine, released in 1953 when Sir Winston Churchill was Prime Minister. Sam said at the time he was completely lost for words after receiving his record-breaking award from the Official Charts Company.
