Which? recruited 72 participants to evaluate eight ketchup brands blindly, assessing taste, aroma, consistency, and visual appeal. Asda's offering was praised for its balanced tanginess, sweetness, and richness of flavour, while also containing lower sugar and salt than Heinz.

Heinz Tomato Ketchup achieved the same score, with testers highlighting its superior consistency, flavour, and presentation. However, Heinz contains higher levels of salt and sugar per 100g than most other brands tested.
