Trains to and from Liverpool Lime Street are facing major disruption this evening after a fire broke out near the tracks in Winsford. The incident has closed all lines running through the station, causing delays and cancellations that are expected to last until the end of the day.

A National Rail spokesperson said: "There is fire next to the track in the Winsford area, closing all lines running through this station. As a result of this issue, trains running between Crewe and Runcorn / Warrington Bank Quay may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or diverted."
