When it comes to booking trips away with the family, recommendation can be key and there's one camping pod site near Manchester that couldn't come more highly rated.
Stanley Villa Farm: A Multi-Award-Winning Glamping Destination
Stanley Villa Farm Fishing and Camping is an award-winning family-run glamping site set in the beautiful countryside just 15 minutes from Blackpool and has cosy pods and bell tents for families to stay in.
Some of them have their own hot tub and every accommodation comes with its own fire pit, with each tent having a wood burning stove.
Now the owners of the site, based in Weeton With Preese, Fylde, are celebrating after scooping yet another two awards.
Not only has it been ranked among the top 10% in the world thanks to Tripadvisor reviews, it's also got local recognition after being named Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year at the Lancashire Tourism Awards again.
Consistent Excellence Recognised
It's the 11th year running it's picked up Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award, which recognises businesses that consistently deliver great service.
And the awards come on the back of a period of investment and improvements across the site, including three brand new luxury holiday lodges overlooking the fishing lake and five new family pods, including more accessible accommodation.
Other improvements over the last 12 months include a brand new facilities block with modern toilets and showers, a new outdoor games area for families and additional wood-fired hot tubs.
They've also put more investment into the family activities available at the site, including animal feeding, fishing and outdoor play.
Owner's Vision: Encouraging Outdoor Fun
Owner Alex Young told the Manchester Evening News: "One of the things we’re most passionate about is giving children a proper outdoor break away from screens."
"With all the current conversation around children, phones and social media, we think places like Stanley Villa are more important than ever. Our whole ethos is about helping families slow down, switch off and spend proper time together."
"Children can feed the animals, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, try fishing, explore the fairy trail, play outside and enjoy the sort of simple outdoor fun that many of us remember from our own childhoods."
He added: "We’re not anti-technology, but we do think families are increasingly looking for breaks where the kids naturally put their devices down because there’s something better to do."
"That’s what we try to create here - a safe, relaxed countryside escape where children can be children and parents can enjoy seeing them outdoors, making memories."
Recognition and Investment
Speaking about the awards, he said: "As a family-run business, it means a huge amount to see the hard work recognised, especially after such a busy period of investment across the site."
Pods cost from around £60 a night off-peak and tents from £85. Bookings can be made with a £49 deposit and the balance payable six weeks before arrival. Visit the website for more.
