Pope 'Preparing' for First Contact with Aliens in 2026, Claims UK Researcher
Vatican 'preparing' for alien contact, says UFO researcher

A British documentary filmmaker has made the extraordinary claim that the Vatican is actively preparing for the possibility of first contact with an extraterrestrial civilisation, potentially within this year.

Rare Access to Vatican Secrets

UFO researcher and filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee states he has been granted rare access to the Vatican's confidential archives. He is investigating historical records of unexplained phenomena and spiritual encounters that might indicate past interactions with alien life.

Lee suggests the discovery of intelligent life beyond Earth would send profound shockwaves through the Catholic Church, more than any other global institution. He posits that Pope Leo XIV could become the first spiritual leader in history to address 'First Contact' publicly.

Theological Implications of Alien Life

This is not the first time Vatican officials have contemplated the existence of extraterrestrials. In 2008, Vatican astronomer Father Gabriel Funes wrote in the Vatican newspaper that intelligent beings created by God could exist elsewhere.

He argued this did not contradict Christian faith, stating: "We cannot establish limits to God's creative freedom." Funes even referenced St Francis, suggesting we could one day speak of a 'brother alien' as part of God's creation.

More recently, the Pope's newly appointed astronomer, Father Richard D'Souza, head of the Vatican Observatory, said he would be willing to baptise an alien, describing them as "children of God." He admitted theology would need to reimagine itself following contact with intelligent alien life.

A Converging Moment for Faith and Disclosure

In his latest documentary, 'God Vs Aliens', Lee explores connections between UFO encounters and paranormal events. He maintains the Church may be far more receptive to the idea of extraterrestrials than the public realises.

"Faith and prophecy have always guided humanity," Lee said. "Now, with UFO disclosure and global interest at an all-time high, these forces are converging in a way that has never happened before. 2026 could be the year everything changes."

The central question posed by the researcher is whether the Church has been quietly preparing for this moment for years, and what revelations might come from the Vatican when confronted with definitive proof of alien life.
