Manosphere Influencers Attack Louis Theroux Over Netflix Doc

Manosphere Figures Launch Furious Backlash Against Louis Theroux Documentary

Renowned documentarian Louis Theroux, 55, has become the target of intense abuse and criticism from the very manosphere influencers he profiled in his recent Netflix special, Inside The Manosphere. The featured content creators, who command thousands of followers across platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, are waging a public war against what they describe as manipulative editing, accusing the streaming giant of deliberately making them "look crazy." The documentary delves into a fast-growing cultural movement of extremist online figures who target young men with misogynistic, homophobic, antisemitic, and racist ideologies.

Global Exploration of Controversial Digital Personalities

Theroux travelled internationally to meet prominent manosphere leaders, including Amrou Fudl (known online as Myron Gaines) and Harrison Sullivan (dubbed HStikkytokky). Both expressed deep distrust during filming, with Sullivan recording all interactions and Fudl voicing fears online that Theroux intended to "rip him." Despite this, they, along with fellow influencers Justin Waller, Ed Matthews, and Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (Sneako), allowed cameras into their lives. Since the documentary's release, which has ignited global debate, these figures are now aggressively fighting back against their portrayal.

Amrou Fudl (Myron Gaines) Condemns "Woke" Netflix

Amrou Fudl, 36, swiftly retaliated, branding the documentary's editing as deceptive and claiming it distorted his views to appear irrational. He criticized Netflix as "a bunch of woke garbage" and labeled Theroux "Louis the liar" in a lengthy podcast stream titled Inside the Therouxsphere of lies. Fudl, famous for his Fit and Fresh podcast which has hosted Andrew Tate, argued that the production deliberately removed context to create shock value. During the documentary, Theroux witnessed Fudl's controversial podcast segment where he insulted a female guest and discussed his desire for "multiple wives." Fudl has since made additional inflammatory remarks, including stating that overweight people "don't deserve" love and blaming feminism for global problems, while using homophobic, ableist, and antisemitic language.

Harrison Sullivan (HStikkytokky) Accuses Theroux of Hypocrisy

Harrison Sullivan, 24, used the live stream service Kick to denounce the documentary as "nonsensical" and called Theroux a "hypocrite." Sullivan, whose content shifted from fitness to provocative discussions on masculinity, has a history including dangerous driving charges. In the film, he showed Theroux a sex act video and admitted to harvesting controversial content "for the money," prompting Theroux to question his morality. Sullivan defended his actions by comparing himself to a donut shop owner profiting regardless of customer choices. He has since mocked Theroux's critique, highlighting what he sees as hypocrisy in promoting the documentary while criticizing his own content. Sullivan boldly declared, "If you want to call me a pimp, scammer, racist, homophobic d***head, I'm all of those."

Ed Matthews and Controversial "Predator Sting" Content

Ed Matthews, 23, a friend of Sullivan, gained fame through TikTok and boxing. He participated in the documentary, showcasing his "predator sting" videos where he confronts individuals he accuses of predatory behavior, forcing some to eat pet food as punishment he bragged was "worse than jail." Matthews also expressed conspiracy theories, telling Theroux that "the Jews" control the world. Post-release, he has avoided public commentary, instead resuming regular live streams featuring partying with other influencers.

Nicolas Kenn De Balinthazy (Sneako) Claims Debates Were Edited Out

Nicolas, 27, known as Sneako, reacted on Kick by suggesting Theroux edited out significant portions of their conversations to misrepresent him. He claimed to have "crushed" Theroux in debates and requested the "deleted scenes" be released. Despite being banned from major platforms for hate speech, Nicolas, a personal friend of Andrew Tate, argued the documentary avoided being a "hit piece" but faced backlash from within the manosphere itself. He maintained that his controversial statements, such as opposing women's suffrage and alleging government conspiracies about transgender issues, were taken out of context.

Justin Waller Defends Unconventional Relationship Dynamics

American influencer Justin Waller, 40, shocked Theroux by detailing his "one-sided monogamous" relationship, where his partner refrains from talking to other men while he is permitted to sleep with other women. Waller, who boasts a £30 million net worth partly from a Telegram forum linked to the Tate brothers, accused Theroux of "setting him up" during questioning. He asserted that women derive value from beauty, while men must create value, and controversially claimed women have invented nothing in plain sight. His partner later expressed that women enjoy knowing their man is desired by others. Waller has chosen not to engage with the online backlash following the documentary's release.

Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere remains available for streaming on Netflix, continuing to fuel heated discussions about online extremism and media representation.
