Kloris CBD Balm Praised by Shopper for Easing Knee Pain
Kloris CBD Balm Praised for Easing Knee Pain

A natural balm from Kloris has been praised by shoppers for helping with joint discomfort, with one user saying it helped them get their "mobility back". The Fragrance-Free CBD Balm CBD Comfort Balm is currently available for £37.40, down from £44, when the code BALM15 is used at checkout. The discount is valid until 30 September at 11:59pm.

What the balm contains

Kloris was founded by Kim, Matt and Pedram after they saw their own parents regularly turn to pills and high street creams for everyday aches and discomfort, inspiring them to develop a more natural option. According to the brand, the CBD Comfort Balm is a 100% natural formula designed for use on joints, muscles and skin. Each 60ml jar contains 800mg of premium CBD, alongside CBG, a sister cannabinoid, as well as a blend of plant butters and oils.

The formula combines CBD and CBG with shea butter, cocoa seed butter, coconut oil, avocado oil, argan oil and peach kernel oil. The balm can be massaged directly onto areas where targeted support is needed, two to three times a day. Unlike CBD oils and gummies, the product is designed to be applied directly to the area rather than taken orally. Kloris says the CBD is absorbed locally into the tissue rather than the bloodstream, while many of its customers report noticing a difference within 15 to 20 minutes of applying it - though it is important to listen to a doctor's advice and follow any treatment programmes they lay out.

Shopper reviews

The balm is completely unscented, with no essential oils or synthetic fragrance used in the formula. A 60ml jar contains around 85 applications, based on 0.7g per application. According to the brand, using it two to three times a day means one jar can provide around four to six weeks of daily use. It is worth noting that Kloris products are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The Kloris balm has racked up a high rating from customers online. One person said: "I have been using the original of this balm for over a year on my knees. It really helps with pain after walking. I have a hot bath first and then apply and within 30 mins I feel so much better. Recently I used it on my neck and shoulder when I had a headache and it also helped quite a bit. I have now repurchased the no scent version and it is equally as good as the original high strength. Is definitely a one to keep in your bedside drawer."

Another said: "I tried this balm for the first time and I'm happy with it. It does seem to help with on the spot pain for a while. It's easy to apply and soaks in well. I'm not a fan of balms, because they are a bit greasy, but I will make an exception for this. I am also glad there is a fragrance free version (although it does have a very slight scent – but not unpleasant). The little scraper is a must though to help get it out of the pot."

Another five-star reviewer called Jim said: "The effect after using the balm for the 1st time was beyond WOW. I got my mobility back, I walked without pain and was able to start strengthening my legs again which really helps... you have given me my mobility back and for that I am truly thankful."

Alternatives and overall verdict

There was only one four-star review, which commented on the size, saying: "Small pot of mighty powerful ointment." Other potential issues may be that it lacks some of the cooling sensations that other muscle rubs offer. Overall, most people were pleased with the balm. For example, this shopper said: "Lifesaver. This balm gets me and my knees through the day. A wonderful balm that calms pain and discomfort."

An alternative option is the Holland & Barrett CBD Muscle Balm Ultra 100ml for £49.99, which is said to feature 'soothing ingredients' to help relieve and calm tired muscles. On Amazon, there is the Love CBD Balm for £41.22, said to harness the power of CBD rich cannabis extracts, hemp seed oil, flavonoids and terpenes, and infused with organic coconut oil, cocoa butter and shea butter.
