Jessie J apologises for Raya dating app reactivation

Jessie J has confirmed that she signed up to celebrity dating app Raya weeks after she announced her split from long-term boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman.

The pair were first linked in 2021 and went public with their relationship two years later and shortly afterwards welcomed baby boy Sky.

However, last month Jessie revealed that they're no longer together following a 'sad and difficult situation', revealing that they actually separated 'some time ago' but chose to navigate the change privately before announcing it.

Jessie J's Instagram response

Now Jessie, 38, has taken to Instagram to hilariously respond to The Sun's story that she has signed up to celebrity dating app Raya in a bid to find love again.

Determined to have the last laugh, the Price Tag singer playfully 'cries' as she talks to the camera to address the article.

She says: "So my management have just told me something and I want to tell you guys the truth, there's a story being run about me tomorrow in The Sun, an article and I did, I did do it, I did."

"I updated and re-activated my Raya account on a dating app."

"I did it, I did, I did, for two days I surrendered and I just got excited and updated my pictures but I didn't update my bio because I wanted to be mysterious but I've deactivated it now, I deactivated it and I'm really sorry and I won't do it again."

Profile details and source comment

The Sun claimed that in her bio she uses the name Jessica and states that she is a self-employed singer and songwriter living in London.

Jessie also included new photos of herself in her profile, including a glam shot from July's Silver Clef Awards and linked it to 1999 hit Everything Is Everything by Lauryn Hill.

A source told the publication: "Jessie is taking everything in her stride and is putting herself out there again on the dating apps."

"She is focused on co-parenting Sky but is open to dating if it's the right person."

Background and health update

Last month she insisted that she and Chanan will "continue supporting each other with love, respect and care as friends".

Their split comes as Jessie, who was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in 2025, revealed in May that she was officially free of the disease.
