Activision is making Call of Duty history by including a single-player campaign mission alongside six core multiplayer maps in the Modern Warfare 4 beta. The beta starts this weekend, with early access for those who pre-ordered or redeemed a code.
First-Ever Campaign Beta
Starting on Friday, August 21, players on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can try the early test build. For the first time, gamers will get a chance to beta test a Call of Duty campaign. Participants will play the Entrenched mission, set in a snow-covered trench environment, as shown in a trailer.
New Kill Block Mode and Maps
Activision confirmed that the first weekend includes the new Kill Block mode, with 3v3 and 10v10 versions. Five additional maps will be available for multiplayer: Silkworm, Rooftops, Cachette, Transit 213, and Lotus. Players can try Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, and the yet-to-be-revealed Inflation mode on each map, with 6v6 matches planned.
Beta Schedule and Additional Content
The first weekend runs from August 21 to August 25. The second weekend, an open beta for everyone, takes place from August 28 to September 1 and includes Nintendo Switch 2. The new Warzone Resurgence map, Zodiac, will be playable, along with two Ground War maps.
