Tournament director Jamie Baker confirmed the exception, citing Serena's knee injury and the likelihood that this is her final Wimbledon. Baker stated: 'We are giving her as much time. Obviously we want her to play, if she possibly can. In terms of the days, it is a guideline. There are sometimes exceptional circumstances.' The match against Camila Osorio and Solana Sierra has no confirmed court or start time as of Saturday morning.

Berrettini vs Dimitrov: A Battle of Talents and Injuries

Centre Court hosts a highly anticipated third-round clash between Grigor Dimitrov and Matteo Berrettini. Dimitrov, 35, remarked: 'If nothing else, it's gonna be a pretty match,' alluding to both players' aesthetic appeal. Beyond looks, both have endured significant injury setbacks. Dimitrov led world No.1 Jannik Sinner by two sets at Wimbledon last year before retiring injured; Sinner went on to win the title. Arthur Fery: Last British Hope with an Unusual Request

Wildcard Arthur Fery, the only remaining British player in singles, faces recent Eastbourne champion Zizou Bergs on Court 18. The 23-year-old world No.114 has suffered three nosebleeds on court in the past three weeks. Fery requested to play on Court 18, where he defeated Otto Virtanen in the second round, rather than a larger show court.
