Two Everton Fixtures Rescheduled for TV Broadcast in September

Two of Everton's September fixtures have been moved for television broadcast, the Premier League announced on Tuesday afternoon. The home game with Manchester United and the away trip to Tottenham Hotspur have both been rescheduled.

New Dates and Times

Everton will now host Manchester United at 2pm on Sunday, September 6. The following weekend, they will play Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 5.30pm on Saturday, September 12. Both games were originally scheduled for 3pm on the Saturday of their respective weekends but with the caveat that times and dates could change.

Early Season Schedule

Everton will start their season with consecutive Saturday 3pm kick-offs. The campaign begins at home to Crystal Palace on August 22, followed by an away game at Bournemouth seven days later. The fixture announcement runs up to the weekend of September 19/20, confirming that the home match with Ipswich on Saturday, September 19 will remain a 3pm kick-off.

Both rescheduled games will be shown on Sky Sports. Tuesday's announcement means Everton will go through the first five games of the season without a fixture scheduled on either a Friday or Monday night. Last season, the number of Monday night matches was a source of frustration for supporters.
