Scotland supporters have begun arriving in Miami ahead of their pivotal World Cup group stage match against Brazil on Wednesday, June 24. The Tartan Army, fresh from a week in Boston, is making its presence felt in Florida's most famous city, with bagpipes already ringing out in a downtown pub.
Bagpipes and Saltires at The Auld Dubliner
Early arrivals gathered at The Auld Dubliner Irish Pub & Kitchen in Downtown Miami, where a piper led a rendition of Scotland the Brave through the bar. In a video shared on TikTok by user patmactok, the piper marches through the pub as revellers in Scotland jerseys clap along. Saltires wave alongside the US flag, and many fans capture the moment on their phones.
The scene marks the beginning of a major fan migration, with thousands of Tartan Army foot soldiers expected to arrive in Miami over the next few days, bringing their party atmosphere south from New England.
Biggest Match in a Generation
Scotland face Brazil at the Hard Rock Stadium on Wednesday at 11pm Scotland time. A win would guarantee Steve Clarke's men a spot in the last 32 of the tournament, while a draw would likely be enough to advance as one of the best third-placed teams. Anything less would leave the Scots facing a nervy wait.
This match is the country's biggest in decades, as Scotland seeks to reach the knockout stages of a major tournament for the first time in 13 attempts.
