Strictly Come Dancing fans are concerned for Will Best and Dianne Buswell's future in the competition after spotting a problem during their week three performance. The pair returned to the ballroom on Saturday night (October 10) for the latest live show of the BBC One dance contest.
Week Three Performances and Leaderboard
Nerves were growing following the first elimination of the series last weekend, with more exits set to continue until the finalists are decided in mid-December. Last week, celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton became the first contestant to be eliminated. He had been paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden, who admitted she was 'gutted' to be leaving the show first for a second year running.
Coming out strong this week was Delta Goodrem, who topped the leaderboard for a second week running. Goodrem and professional partner Kai Widdrington received a score of 33 for their salsa. Meanwhile, former footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips scored 15 for his quickstep, leaving him at the bottom of the leaderboard. Judge Anton Du Beke told him he had "all the components to be a super, super dancer".
Will and Dianne's Waltz and Fan Reactions
Will, the Big Brother presenter, showed a different side as he and Dianne performed a Waltz to 'With You I'm Born Again' by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright. This followed two weeks of more energetic performances, including last week's Movie Week routine where Will was left without his trousers.
The routine scored 25 points from the judges, which was up from previous performances. However, Strictly fans felt it was 'undermarked' and that Will and Dianne were being unfairly criticised by the judging experts. Fans also noticed their position in the evening's running order was a concern.
@scddevereaux said: "Will in the death slot after two weeks of undermarking #strictly." @strictlylmx fumed: "F**k off will and dianne being slated for the last two weeks and are still getting a death slot waltz. This show." xSuziBethx asked: "Why are Will and Dianne going early every week? #Strictly."
@amelialouise897 complained: "Completely under marked again! This was stunning." @birdiesabode shared: "Anyone else think its not fair that in three weeks Will and Dianne have gone first and second." @xx.cerysj07.xx_ wrote: "Dance of the night under marked again the score this week he should've had last week and week one and this week should've been 8s."
@Carlee3091 posted: "Beautiful beautiful dance from Will and Dianne!! Still think slightly undermarked but definitely such an improvement!! He's still gonna need the votes being in the death slot with a waltz though!! Let's do this!." @LeahXBarnes added: "Had to vote just Will & Dianne he was undermarked and in the death slot twice in 3 weeks right near the start better be near the end or last next week! #strictly."
