The tight-knit community of Orbost in regional Victoria is reeling from the tragic loss of 21-year-old Zane Oldis, a promising young footballer whose life was cut short in a devastating single-vehicle crash.
Emergency services rushed to Orbost Road near Marlo Road shortly after 11:30 pm on Friday night following reports of a serious collision. Despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene, the young man could not be saved.
A Life Full of Promise
Zane was known throughout the local football community as a talented player with a bright future ahead. His sudden passing has left teammates, coaches, and friends in complete shock.
"He was the kind of young man every club dreams of having," said one community member who asked not to be named. "Hardworking, dedicated, and loved by everyone who knew him."
