Cardiff City secured a 2-1 victory over Wrexham in the Carabao Cup fourth round, with Will Fish scoring the decisive goal. The Bluebirds dominated the first half and could have been out of sight, but Wrexham improved after the break.
Kieffer Moore equalised for the hosts in the second half, but Fish's goal from a set piece sealed Cardiff's place in the quarter-finals. Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy praised his team's character after the match, while Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson admitted the better team had won.
The result means Cardiff join Brentford and Fulham in the last eight, continuing their impressive run in the competition. Wrexham, despite their second-half improvement, were left to rue a slow start.
