Manly Sea Eagles' newly appointed captain, Tom Trbojevic, and his fashion designer wife, Kristi Wilkinson, have treated NRL supporters to an intimate look at their luxurious post-wedding getaway in the Maldives.
A Romantic Island Escape
The newlyweds, who tied the knot just before Christmas at the exclusive Jackson Ranch by Bannisters on the New South Wales south coast, are currently soaking up the sun in the South Asian paradise. Their honeymoon follows a whirlwind off-season which saw the 29-year-old fullback secure his future with Manly, signing a contract extension that will keep him at the Brookvale club until the end of the 2027 season.
Through a series of Instagram posts, Kristi has documented their relaxing retreat. The couple have been seen enjoying the serene surroundings, with Trbojevic spotted paddleboarding on the crystal-clear waters and relaxing on a sun lounger. They have also explored the islands using push bikes and shared snaps of themselves enjoying the beach and hotel pool.
From Wedding Bells to Contract News
The wedding itself was a glamorous affair, with guests cheering as the pair entered their reception. Trbojevic wore a classic black tuxedo, while Kristi dazzled in a stunning white strapless gown. In a celebratory moment, the couple poured a magnum of Veuve Clicquot into a pyramid of glasses, creating a champagne waterfall.
This marital bliss caps off a significant period for Trbojevic professionally. After months of speculation, he put pen to paper on his new deal with the Sea Eagles, a move that was swiftly followed by his appointment as the club's new captain following Daly Cherry-Evans' departure to the Sydney Roosters.
The path to the altar included a pre-wedding trip to Bali in September, where Trbojevic finalised his contract details, and a pilates-and-prosecco themed hen party for Kristi in Newport, Sydney, at the start of December.
Life Beyond the Footy Field
While Trbojevic enjoyed well-earned rest after scoring six tries in 18 matches last season, Kristi is forging her own business path. She has launched a new design agency named Tekai, a fashion and design brand poised to release a range of beach parasols, blankets, and apparel.
The couple's social media posts, captioned simply "Honeymooning with my husband," show them smiling during a breathtaking sunset, offering NRL fans a personal glimpse into their life away from the intensity of the rugby league pitch.
