Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin is waiting for the club to sanction a loan move to Roma, with his agent confirming the Romanian is keen on a return to Serie A. The 22-year-old has struggled for game time under manager Thomas Frank, playing just five minutes since recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury in December.
Spurs have rejected Roma's initial proposal for a loan until the end of the season, as they do not want Dragusin to leave temporarily. However, Dragusin's agent, Florin Manea, revealed that other Italian clubs, including AC Milan and Fiorentina, are also interested. “I'm waiting for Tottenham to say yes to Roma so things can really get going,” Manea told Rai Sport.
Meanwhile, reports in France claim that forward Mathys Tel is considering a loan exit before the summer transfer window to boost his chances of making France's World Cup squad. Tel, who joined permanently from Bayern Munich for £30 million last summer, has started Spurs' last three matches and scored in a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth, but has been used sparingly overall.
Manager Thomas Frank expects Tel to stay at the club during the January window, but Spurs are short in attack with Mohammed Kudus out until April and Brennan Johnson already departed for Crystal Palace. Frank has reiterated the club's intention to be active in the transfer market to add depth.
