Bukayo Saka's Unusual Childhood Breakfast Revealed Before NLD
Saka's quirky childhood breakfast revealed

While most children eat cereal or toast before school, a young Bukayo Saka powered his day with a far more unconventional meal, the England football star has revealed.

The Peculiar Breakfast of a Future Star

In a wide-ranging interview with the BBC, the 24-year-old Arsenal winger shared details of his childhood routine. With his parents often at work, Saka and his brother would create a unique combination of sweet and salty for their morning fuel.

'You cut the hot cross bun, you cut the sausage up, put it in the hot cross bun, then put ketchup, then close the hot cross bun. Unreal, unreal,' Saka told Kelly Somers. He credited the idea to his parents, though he couldn't recall which one invented the frankfurter and hot cross bun concoction.

The admission prompted a chuckle from the interviewer, who questioned if he still eats it today. Saka laughed and responded, 'Nah!'

Focus on the North London Derby and Legacy

The revelation comes as Saka prepares for a crucial Premier League clash. Arsenal face rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with a victory vital to maintaining their position at least four points ahead of chasers Manchester City.

Saka has an impressive record in the North London Derby. In his 10 appearances against Spurs, he has won six, drawn one, and lost only three. He has also contributed directly to six goals, scoring three and assisting three.

This season, the Hale End academy graduate has been in stellar form, captaining the side on several occasions and scoring six goals in 14 appearances across all competitions.

Contract Talks and Barista Dreams

Beyond the pitch, the interview touched on Saka's future. While his current deal expires in summer 2027, manager Mikel Arteta expressed supreme confidence that his star player will sign a new contract.

'I am very aware that he wants to continue with us,' Arteta stated. 'The journey that he has had at the club, and what he has become, is something we want to maintain. I think that is something that is going to leave a legacy at this club.'

Saka also discussed his hopes of improving his barista skills one day, a plan that will surely have to wait as he focuses on cementing his legendary status at the Emirates.
