McTominay's girlfriend steals show at Serie A awards

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay enjoyed a night of personal triumph at the Grand Gala of Football 2025 in Italy, but it was his glamorous partner who captured the attention of the crowd.

Serie A Star Honoured After Stellar Season

The 28-year-old Scotsman was awarded the prestigious Serie A Player of the Season title, capping off a remarkable first campaign with Napoli. McTominay, who made a £25.7million move from Manchester United to Naples in the summer of 2024, was instrumental in leading the club to the Serie A championship.

His outstanding individual season saw him score 12 league goals in 34 matches, helping Napoli secure their second Scudetto in three years. This phenomenal form also earned the midfielder his first-ever Ballon d'Or nomination, marking a dramatic career upswing since departing his boyhood club.

'Queen of Italy' Steals the Show

While McTominay was the man of the hour, also being named in the Serie A top XI, all eyes were on his model girlfriend, Cam Reading. Dubbed the 'Queen of Italy' by admirers, Reading made a breathtaking entrance in a sheer black dress, accessorised with a lavish necklace, effortlessly commanding the spotlight.

The couple, who relocated to Naples together last year, have settled into life in Italy seamlessly. Following the awards ceremony, Reading took to Instagram to express her immense pride in her partner's achievements.

She penned a heartfelt message: "Gran Gala del Calcio, Scott walked away with two awards and I walked away even prouder of the man he is...dedicated, hardworking and always striving for more. Ti amo."

McTominay's Special Bond with Napoli

After accepting his accolades, McTominay spoke warmly about his connection with his new club and the city. "It's sensational, it's incredible to be here and win this award," he said. "Thank you to everyone, the team, the staff, and my teammates. My bond with Napoli is special, there are so many special places here. Coming to Napoli was an easy choice, I came to the right place."

His impact has extended beyond club football. McTominay played a crucial role in Scotland's qualification for the 2026 World Cup, their first since 1998. He scored in a vital 2-1 win over Belarus in October and netted a spectacular overhead kick in a 4-2 victory against Denmark to secure their place at next summer's tournament.

With Napoli currently second in Serie A, level on points with leaders AC Milan, McTominay's focus will now be on defending the title as the season progresses.
