Major Boost for Spurs Ahead of Arsenal Clash
Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has received a significant boost ahead of Sunday's crucial north London derby against Arsenal, with forward Randal Kolo Muani declared available for selection.
The Paris Saint-Germain loanee, who suffered a jaw injury during Spurs' 2-2 draw with Manchester United on November 8, has been fitted with a protective mask and has returned to training, making him unexpectedly available for the weekend fixture.
Injury Updates Across the Squad
Frank provided comprehensive updates on his squad during Friday's press conference, revealing that Pape Sarr and Lucas Bergvall have also returned to training and are ready for selection.
In further positive news for the Spurs boss, defenders Ben Davies and Kota Takai have resumed training this week, while centre-back Radu Dragusin has taken a significant step in his recovery from anterior cruciate ligament damage sustained in January by participating in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
The returning players don't stop there, with Archie Gray back in contention and Mohammed Kudus returning to training after missing international duty with Ghana.
Players Still Sidelined
Despite the encouraging news, Tottenham's injury concerns haven't completely cleared. James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke all remain unavailable.
Striker Solanke has not featured since August 23 and underwent minor ankle surgery last month. Frank provided an update on his progress, stating: "Dom is not ready yet. We are very aware that when we put him out there, we want to be as sure as we can that there will be no setback going forward. I am comfortable he will soon be ready."
The availability of Kolo Muani provides Frank with a crucial attacking option for one of Tottenham's most important matches of the season against their arch-rivals.
