Erling Haaland has become the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals, breaking Alan Shearer's long-standing record. The Manchester City striker achieved the milestone with a strike against Fulham, reaching the landmark in just 111 games.
Shearer had previously held the record, having taken 124 games to reach 100 goals. Other notable players took significantly longer: Harry Kane needed 141 games, Sergio Aguero 147, and Thierry Henry 160.
City manager Pep Guardiola praised Haaland's achievement, highlighting the consistency required to score over many seasons. "The guys who have been making numbers for a long time, not just one or two seasons, I always admire them because it means resilience and being there every season," Guardiola said.
Guardiola also noted that if Haaland maintains his current scoring rate over a long period, he could challenge the all-time Premier League goal records held by Kane and Shearer.
