Thomas Frank has warned that Tottenham are 'not a quick fix' after a 'very bad performance' in a 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. The Spurs head coach, whose side are in mid-table after one win in seven Premier League matches, believes he needs time to turn the club's fortunes around.
Callum Hudson-Odoi scored twice and Ibrahim Sangaré added a stunning strike at the City Ground, where Spurs managed just one shot on target. Frank defended goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario despite his role in both of Hudson-Odoi's goals, noting that mistakes like that happen across the league.
Frank said: 'I think it's pretty evident that if no one gets the time, no one can turn this around. This is not a quick fix. Today was a very bad performance. No two ways about that, but also know that to change this, this will take some time. No one will want to hear about that, it's just reality.'
The head coach also revealed he will investigate defender Djed Spence's petulant reaction to being substituted in the second half. Spence, who previously apologised for ignoring Frank after a home defeat by Chelsea, threw his warm-up jacket into the dugout as he left the field.
