Brave Crowd Subdues Attacker
Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic as the silver Hyundai accelerated towards jubilant fans. "He was clearly aiming for people," one witness stated. "If not for those lads tackling him, it could have been much worse."
Mobile footage shows at least five men wrestling the 34-year-old driver to the ground moments after the collision. Police confirmed the suspect, a former serviceman discharged in 2019, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
