Scottish comedian Rachel Jackson was arrested at Nashville Airport in August 2023 after a confrontation with police, during which she shouted, ‘I am Titanic! I am White Lotus!’ Bodycam footage of the incident, released on YouTube, has garnered over a million views.
The 37-year-old, known for roles in Still Game and Outlander, was confronted by staff at the Delta Airlines Lounge after entering without a pass. She was flying on a British Airways flight to London and was informed she was in the wrong lounge. Staff also expressed concerns she may have been under the influence of drugs.
When police arrived, they found Jackson with a vape, tea, drink and nicotine pouches. She refused to cooperate, telling officers, ‘Get your hands off me!’ She was told she had been denied boarding, which escalated the situation. She then made reference to the films Titanic and the TV series The White Lotus.
During the arrest for disorderly conduct, Jackson screamed for help and resisted. She insisted on drinking from a water fountain and claimed the handcuffs were painful. Despite being told to breathe, she continued to shout and struggle until she was placed in a police car.
Jackson, originally from Edinburgh and now based in Glasgow, was nominated for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards. She also appeared in Karen Gillan's directorial debut The Party’s Just Beginning in 2018.
