Alan Shearer Injured in Bike Fall Blames Potholes

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has shared images of his injuries after falling from his bicycle, blaming potholes for the crash. The 55-year-old BBC pundit posted photographs on his Instagram story showing extensive cuts and bruises on his arm and leg.

In the first image, Shearer is seen reclining on a sofa with his arm raised, revealing a series of scratches on his forearm and bicep. The second photograph shows his knee and shin scraped extensively. He captioned the images: "Ouch. Pot holes on the bike are not good!!!"

It remains unclear exactly how the accident unfolded, but the photographs indicate a hard impact. The incident comes as Shearer recently named his preferred England starting XI for this summer's World Cup, omitting stars like Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford.

Speaking to Betfair, Shearer expressed confidence in England's chances, saying: "I believe England can win the World Cup. When you look at our talent, when you look at the players fighting for positions, then yeah." He acknowledged strong competition from France, Spain, and Portugal.
